KWIC Expressions and Concepts

ATAC’s text mining tools are easy to use yet rival some $100,000 systems. Combine powerful text mining with the ability to quickly temporally and spatially analyze the results. ATAC is the only application that combines the RegEx language (used by Google) with Structured Query Language to perform intuitive data mining across all your fields of data in any data set.

In this webinar, analysts will learn how to use ATAC’s KWIC (Key Word In Context) Expression Builder and the Concepts module to find a needle in a needle stack! For example; find “red” within 3 words of the word “Toyota”; find the word “drug” but not when it’s in the word “drugstore”; and find variants of catalytic converter, copper thefts, GPS theft, etc. Once created, learn how to save these expressions in the Concepts Builder for future runs at scheduled times and days. Finally, learn how to receive an automated email alert you when your concept is found.

This series of webinars was developed by BAIR’s experienced analysts and officers to provide you the tools and information to become more efficient and effective analysts, reducing costs while reducing crime.
